Behind the Character

Reflecting my own passions and experiences, I, Chihiro, am the real-life inspiration behind Chizilla. As a children's book author, freelance illustrator, and web content creator, I delight in crafting stories and images that spark imagination and joy. Spending time with children and seeing their smiles is my greatest inspiration, driving me to create engaging and heartwarming content that resonates with young readers and their families.

Real-Life Inspiration

Little Spoon is inspired by none other than Chihiro's husband, who has been an integral part of the Chizilla and Little Spoon project. He has worked with children for six years and currently serves as a social worker in Toronto's mental health sector. His deep understanding of young minds enriches our stories, making them resonate more with families. Together, we aim to craft tales that entertain, teach, and inspire children to explore the world with joy and curiosity.
